Dear collector,

once again we have put together a rich programme with a great deal to discover. You will surely have noticed from the cover that this edition is something special: Minichamps celebrates its 20th anniversary this year — twenty years in which we have delivered more than 38 million models.
When we founded Minichamps in 1990, our aim was to build collector’s vehicles that set a standard in the industry through accuracy of detail and outstanding quality of finish. Again and again we have ventured into new categories and scales, most recently by establishing the 1:64 models. More than 100 awards from trade journalists and collectors have honoured our work so far.

Two decades of experience — that does not mean we now rest on what we have achieved. On the contrary, we continue to set new standards, in both senses of the word. One example is the turntable-ladder fire engine based on the Mercedes-Benz L 6600 in 1:18 scale, due for delivery this year. This model has a die-cast zinc turntable ladder that is unique worldwide in 1:18 scale (see pages 230–231).
